yeah, except in their translation it was 'half-naked', not 'half-dressed'. i think i like the former better, but i haven't come across that version of the poem anywhere since.
did you know that's only the last stanza? the whole thing is actually quite long. it's called 'the first night'. it's lovely.
Maybe they did it on purpose, to indicate that Astrid or whatever her name was, was translating in her head. Or maybe it was an accident, and nobody noticed it...
Although I think the 'half-naked' one sounds better too!
